Public Adjusters in Minnesota
Minnesota public adjusters help homeowners and businesses with property damage claims from hail, severe winter storms, ice dams, wind damage, and water losses across the Twin Cities and the rest of the state. Public adjusters must be licensed by the Minnesota Department of Commerce, pass a written exam, post a $10,000 surety bond, and complete 24 hours of continuing education each renewal period. Minnesota does not impose a statutory percentage cap on public adjuster fees, but contracts must be in writing and include a 72-hour right of cancellation.
