Public Adjusters in Washington
Washington public adjusters help homeowners and businesses with property damage claims from wildfires, atmospheric river flooding, windstorms, snow loads, water damage, and earthquake risk across Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, and the rest of the state. Public adjusters must be licensed by the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC), pass a written exam, and post a $5,000 surety bond. Washington does not impose a statutory percentage cap on public adjuster fees, but compensation must be reasonable and disclosed in writing in the adjusting contract.
