Public Adjusters in New York

New York public adjusters help homeowners and businesses with property damage claims from nor'easters, hurricanes, flooding, fire, water damage, and winter storms across New York City, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, and the rest of the state. Public adjusters must be licensed by the New York Department of Financial Services, pass a written exam, post a $1,000 surety bond, and complete continuing education each renewal cycle. New York caps public adjuster fees at 12.5% of the claim recovery under Insurance Regulation 10 (11 NYCRR 25) and requires a written contract before work begins.
